DESCRIPTION: WW - Movado Hermetic, circa 1920s, manual wind, 32mm x 35mm to lug tips, 12mm wire lug width, nickel hermetic style screwed down bezel case with inner flip out case in base metal with hidden winding crown for extra dust resistance, top bezel is in silver, black leather strap, original silvered dial with applied gold numerals, 15J, case s#190847. The most well known of these Hermetic styled watches was the Rolex, however many other brands were known to have made them as FB (François Borgel) made the cases and independently supplied them to various makers.
CONDITION: Mvt: Running, excellent-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, light oxide to steelwork, light fine scratches on plates; fine dial with an even tarnish with light surface spotting; fine gold hands; polished case shows light wear, numerous deep scratches on back; crown shows very little wear, good threads; good crystals.
